This tool is designed for integration into automatic gamma dose rate and hotspot localization measurement systems. Tool is fitted with plastic scintillator detector for low, and GM tube for high dose rates. Detector electronics enables switching between the measurement ranges automatically depending on the actual situation . Integration of calibrated laser distance sensor enables on-line measurement, adjustment and declaration of distance between detector and measured object. In the areas with increased background activity, various collimators can be added to the detector cage.
